Occupational therapy for children
Occupational therapy can help kids with various needs, improve their cognitive, physical, sensory, and motor skills and enhance their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. Occupational therapists can evaluate kids' skills for playing, school performance, and daily activities and compare them with what is developmentally appropriate for that age group.
Occupational Therapy focuses on the main occupations of:
• School (e.g. writing, reading, fine motor skills, learning, attention, sensory processing)
• Play (e.g. imaginative play, social interaction, motor skills)
• Self-care ( e.g. bathing, dressing, eating, cutlery use, organising self)
